Work on the Interstate 430/Interstate 630 interchange in Little Rock will require lane closures all day today, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
Removal of construction safety platforms from the bridge connecting I-430 northbound to I-630 eastbound and from the bridge connecting I-630 westbound to I-430 southbound, highway striping and the construction of a wall on the bridge connecting I-430 north to I-630 east will require the following lane closures from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting:
• The inside turn lane from southbound South Shackleford Road to I-630 eastbound.
• The inside lane of Financial Centre Parkway from Hardin and Hermitage roads.
• The two inside eastbound lanes of I-630 from Shackleford to the Baptist Health exit ramp.
This project is part of a $78 million plan to reconstruct the I-430/I-630 (Big Rock) Interchange. The project is scheduled to be complete this summer, the department said.
