Tontitown police seek man possibly shot during family feud, then fled Thursday night before police arrived

TONTITOWN -- Police are looking for a man who may have been shot during a family feud Thursday night, but who ran away before police arrived, according to a news release.

Daniel Hurlburt, 23, may have been shot during a family quarrel at 717 Callihan Loop at 10:53 p.m., according to police. Police aren't sure about the extent of Hurlburt's possible injuries. No blood was found at the scene, Capt. Joey McCormick said in email Friday.

Police found a 14-year-old boy, 49-year-old man and 48-year-old woman in the home when police responded to an emergency call, according to the release and McCormick.

Two of those people had been pepper sprayed, and one of the three fired about three shots, possibly hitting Hurlburt, according to the release. The three people weren't identified by McCormick or in the news release.

No incident report was available Friday. No arrests had been made by Friday afternoon, McCormick said.

Police have been called to the address several times in the past two years, according to incident reports provided by McCormick. Many of those incidents included verbal quarrels and welfare checks, incident reports show.

The last incident was a domestic disturbance involving Hurlburt and his father on Dec. 8, according to an incident report.
