The robbery occurred at Shell, 1400 Main St., about 9:45 p.m.

Terry Knepp, the store's clerk, was preparing to close when the men entered. One of the robbers, holding a pistol, told Knepp not to move. The other man jumped over the counter and took money from the cash register, according to a police report.

One man shot Knepp as they fled the store. Knepp was taken to UAMS Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his left side, which was not life-threatening, police said.

The men, who have not been identified, wore bandanas over their faces during the robbery. Police described the robbers as black and in their late teens to early 20s.

Police say woman swung at officer

Little Rock police arrested a woman Friday night after she hit an officer in the face, according to an arrest report.

Police found Theodora Mohammed, 26, sleeping in the laundry room of a hotel just off of Interstate 30 in southwest Little Rock.

Police asked Mohammed to leave, and she refused. Police then discovered Mohammed had a warrant out for her arrest for failure to appear in court.

At some point during the confrontation, the arrest report states, Mohammed "swung and hit" an officer in the face.

Mohammed was charged with second-degree battery -- a felony -- in addition to the failure-to-appear misdemeanor charge. She remained in Pulaski County jail Saturday night in lieu of $5,000 bond.
