OKLAHOMA CITY — An earthquake has shaken part of Grant County in northern Oklahoma.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the 4.2 magnitude earthquake was recoded shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday about 13 miles south-southeast of Medford at a depth of about one mile
Earlier Tuesday, a 3.8 magnitude temblor was recorded at 5:31 a.m. less than two miles south-southeast of Perry. The earthquake occurred at a depth of about two miles.
On Monday night, a 4.3 magnitude quake was recorded about three miles northeast of Medford. That quake occurred at a depth of about four miles.
No damage or injuries were reported following the quakes.
Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest that are felt by humans and damage is not likely in quakes below magnitude 4.0.
