Earlier:

The Garland County sheriff’s office on Tuesday named a person of interest in a Friday manhunt that lead to the lockdown of two school districts in the Hot Springs area.

Kenno Forrest, 30, has active felony warrants from the Garland County sheriff’s office and an absconder warrant from Arkansas Community Corrections, Garland County sheriff’s office spokesman Scott Hinojosa said in a statement.

Cutter Morning Star and Lakeside school districts were locked down Friday after a Lakeside employee spotted a man stealing fuel from the district’s bus barn that morning, ArkansasOnline previously reported.

The employee followed the man off campus, and told deputies he’d been shot by the man, Hinojosa said Friday.

Deputies located the man in the 2800 block of Spring Street in Hot Springs when he attempted to hit deputies with his vehicle, Hinojosa said.

Forrest is a white man, about 5-foot-1, 148 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. He has an abstract tattoo on his right forearm.

Police say Forrest should be considered armed, dangerous and extremely aggressive.

Anyone with information about Forrest’s whereabouts is asked to call the Garland County sheriff’s office at (501) 622-3660.
