3 arrested in Maumelle attempted burglary

Maumelle police arrested three men Tuesday after a homeowner stopped them after they broke into his home.

The homeowner told police that two men kicked in the back door and entered his home at 7 Crystal Mountain Lane about 1 p.m., Maumelle Police Department spokesman Capt. Jim Hansard said.

The men left the home after the homeowner pointed a handgun at them and ordered them to leave, Hansard said.

The homeowner gave full descriptions of the men and the vehicle they left in, police said.

An officer pulled over a vehicle that matched the homeowner's description traveling south on Maumelle Boulevard approximately two miles from the residence, Hansard said.

Police arrested Jarvis Kawon Molden, 19, and two juvenile boys, all of North Little Rock, and charged them with residential burglary and theft of property, Hansard said.

Molden was out on bond for committing the same offenses in North Little Rock, Hansard said.
