LITTLE ROCK — Republican U.S. Sen. John Boozman of Arkansas has been named the chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Commodities, Markets, Trade and Risk Management for the new Congress.

The subcommittee has jurisdiction over things like the production of agricultural crops, commodities and products, farm and ranch income protection and assistance, among others.

Boozman says the committee's work will ensure that the needs of the agricultural community are put first.
