I-630 widening is topic of public meeting

State highway officials will hold a public meeting Tuesday to present and discuss proposed plans to widen a stretch of Interstate 630 in Little Rock.

The plans call for broadening the highway between Baptist Health Medical Center and University Avenue, and are part of the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department’s Connecting Arkansas Program, the department said Wednesday.

The meeting, where the public may view displays, ask questions and submit comments, is set for 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church Little Rock’s fellowship hall, 315 S. Hughes St.

More information is available by calling the Highway Department’s Connecting Arkansas Program manager at (501) 255-1519.
