Police identify victim in fatal Tulsa motel shooting

TULSA — Investigators have identified the victim of a fatal shooting at a motel in east Tulsa.

Tulsa Police Department Sgt. Dave Walker said 33-year-old Michael Jones was found shot to death in a room at the motel about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The Tulsa World reported Jones answered a knock on the door and four men wearing hoodies rushed in demanding money. Jones was shot during a struggle.

Three people, including a former Tulsa County sheriff's deputy, have been arrested in connection with the shooting. Officials said 44-year-old Warren Crittenden of Stroud, who authorities identified as a former Tulsa County sheriff's deputy, and 27-year-old Pamela Taylor were arrested late Tuesday. Arrested on Wednesday was 27-year-old Kendrick Logan.

Police say Taylor was in the room when the shooting occurred. She wasn't harmed.
