UALR appoints writing program administrator to associate vice chancellor

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock announced Thursday that Sherry Rankins-Robertson has been appointed associate vice chancellor for student success, retention and online and extended learning at the university.

She will begin her appointment on Feb. 9.

Rankins-Robertson holds a doctorate of philosophy in English with a concentration in rhetoric, composition and linguistics, the university said in a statement.

Rankins-Roberston has served as a writing program administrator in the Department of Rhetoric and Writing at UALR since 2012.

Before joining UALR’s faculty, Rankins-Roberston was a faculty member for eight years at Arizona State University, where she helped develop family history and prison writing programs.
