Little Rock police investigate the scene of a Friday morning shooting at Fair Park Gardens apartments, located at 11th Street and Fair Park Boulevard.

Little Rock police responded to a shooting call Friday morning at 11th Street and Fair Park Boulevard, the location of the Fair Park Gardens apartments.

Officers found Tevin Mills, 19, of Little Rock, on the ground in front of apartment 44 with gunshot wounds in his upper left chest, right shoulder and left leg, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

Mills was transported to CHI St. Vincent, the report stated.

Little Rock police Capt. Michael Davis said earlier that Mills did not have life-threatening injuries.

Mills is not a resident of the apartment complex, according to the police report.

Lazano English, 32 and a resident of the apartment where police found Mills, said "everything went bad" when Mills opened the front door, the report stated.

English jumped out of the back window of the apartment during the shooting, police said.

A witness told police she heard eight to 10 gun shots and saw two men leave in a white Ford Expedition, according to the report.

Officers stopped the men at 2500 S. State St. in the Arkansas College of Barbering and Hair Design parking lot, Davis said.

Police arrested Dakota Johnson, 22, of Little Rock, but the other two men fled from officers on foot, according to the report.

Johnson has been charged with first degree battery, committing a terroristic act and misdemeanor criminal mischief, according to the report.

Johnson remained in the Pulaski County jail Friday afternoon with bond not yet set.

Officers searched the area using a police dog unit, ground patrol and helicopter with no results.

Davis said police are still searching for the two men, who are described as black and between 18 and 30 years old.

Little Rock Police Department spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen said the suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
