Multiple lane closures set in Pulaski County

Multiple lanes and traffic shifts are scheduled for this weekend and next week, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department announced Friday.

Construction work on Interstates 630 and 430 will require lane closures this weekend, the department said in a news release.

Crews will be striping, hanging overhead signs and relocating traffic to the new I-430 northbound to I-630 eastbound flyover ramp, highway officials said.

On Saturday, the center and outside eastbound lanes of Interstate 630 will be closed, and the closure will extend from the Shackleford Road to the Barrow Road exit, officials said. The northbound, outside lane of Interstate 430 from the Shackleford Road overpass to Interstate 630 will also be closed.

The closures will begin at 6 a.m. and end at 6 p.m. Officials say the closure could continue from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday if the work is not completed Saturday.

Robinson Center renovations will require a lane closure on LaHarpe Boulevard in downtown Little Rock starting next week, highway officials said.

The eastbound, outside lane between Gaines and Center streets will close from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, and the closure will continue until renovation work is completed.

Overpass construction on U.S. 67/167 in Jacksonville will require traffic shifts next week.

Work on new Redmond Road and Main Street overpasses will require northbound and southbound traffic to shift north of Main Street and south of Redmond Road, highway officials said.

The traffic shifts will begin Monday at 9 p.m.
