Authorities seek man in Illinois River at Siloam Springs

SILOAM SPRINGS — Northwest Arkansas authorities have resumed searching for a man who disappeared and is believed to have drowned in the Illinois River at Siloam Springs.

KHOG-TV reported that the search for the 55-year-old man resumed Wednesday along Arkansas 59 in Siloam Springs.

The man was reported missing about 2 p.m. Tuesday by witnesses who said he was struggling in the water. Police said the man's family reported he may have suffered and asthma attack.

Police told reporters that the man was not wearing a flotation device.
