Jonesboro police think arrest solves string of burglaries

JONESBORO — Police in Jonesboro say they believe the arrest of a parole absconder has solved a string of residential burglaries on the city's north side.

The Jonesboro Sun reported that 36-year-old Michael Crenshaw was arrested Wednesday and that police later found stolen televisions, laptop computers and other electronic equipment in the apartment where Crenshaw was living.

Police say more than two dozen TVs, several cellphones, computers and jewelry have been stolen in at least 18 burglaries in north Jonesboro during the past eight months.
