Emily Christine Barnes became the bride of Andrew William McCarty at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 27, in Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church. The Rev. Victor H. Nixon officiated.

Parents of the bride are Tanya and Dr. C. Lowry Barnes, 10 E. Palisades Drive. She is the granddaughter of Sue Phillips and the late Bill Phillips, both of Jonesboro, and the late Reese and Charles Barnes of Pine Bluff.

Donna and John McCarty, 4115 Old Oak Drive, are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Georgia McCarty, the late Don McCarty and the late Donn and LeOtis Vick, all of Little Rock.

The chancel held a towering arrangement of larkspur, snapdragons, hydrangeas, oriental lilies, roses and peonies in shades of white and blush pink. Music was by soloist Bernard Turgeon.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory mermaid-style gown of Alencon lace. The strapless bodice had a sweetheart neckline and low back, and a Swarovksi crystal and pearl belt. She carried a bouquet of peonies, garden roses, hydrangeas, ranunculus and stock.

Serving as the bride's honor attendants were Sally Barnes of Little Rock, sister of the bride, and Melissa Richardson of Fayetteville, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Claire Steward of Dallas; Ashley Baldwin and Lauren Horak, sister of the groom, both of Little Rock; Katie Smith of North Little Rock; and Cari Reed of Springdale. They wore sleeveless petal pink chiffon gowns and carried bouquets of garden roses, peonies, stock and hydrangeas.

Flower girl and ring bearers were Avery Phillips, Will Phillips and Carter Phillips, all of Little Rock.

The groom's honor attendants were Joseph Gardner and Matthew Callaway, both of North Little Rock. Groomsmen were Andrew Baldwin and Chase Barnes, brother of the bride, both of Little Rock; William Skelton of Fayetteville; and Connor Larkin and Patrick Larkin, both of Union, Ky. Matthew Horak and Justin Lareau, both of Little Rock, seated guests.

A reception at the Country Club of Little Rock followed the ceremony. The buffet held a large white urn filled with hydrangeas, garden roses and peonies in shades of white and light pink. Guest tables were centered with towering arrangements of peonies, garden roses, hydrangeas and stock in shades of white, cream and blush. The ceiling of the ballroom was draped with greenery garlands of white dendrobium orchids. Music was by The Rockets.

The bride graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a bachelor's degree in marketing. She is a Realtor at The Charlotte John Co.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in finance from the university. He is a senior project engineer at VCC.

The couple will live in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Playa Mujeres, Mexico.
