Arkansas State University names new men's golf coach

JONESBORO — Arkansas State University has hired Mike Hagen as the school's men's golf coach.

Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir announced the appointment Friday.

Hagen spent 10 seasons at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, where he served as both head men's golf coach and athletics director.

Hagen led the Warriors to four NJCAA National Championships, including back-to-back titles in 2014 and 2015. He led IHCC to eight District III Championships, including each of the last six seasons.

Hagen has been named the NJCAA National Coach of the Year four times and the Dave Williams National Coach of the Year in three seasons.

He has coached 19 NJCAA All-Americans, 12 Ping All-Americans, five Ping All-Freshman team members and two Phil Mickelson Award winners.
