Final work on the Big Rock Interchange at Interstates 430 and 630 will require lane closures Saturday through the end of next week, Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department officials say.

Crews will be striping sections of the interchange, installing signs and repairing pavement, agency spokesman Jeff Whatley said in a news release.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane on I-630 westbound at the interchange from 6 a.m. Saturday through noon Sunday, the release states.

From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through July 17, I-430 northbound at the interchange will be reduced to one lane and traffic on the I-630 and southeast loop ramps must yield; I-430 southbound will be reduced to two lanes south of the I-630 eastbound ramp; and I-630 westbound from Barrow Road to the Baptist Medical Center exit will be reduced to two lanes.

I-430 southbound, south of the I-630 eastbound ramp, will be reduced to two lanes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, Whatley said. Traffic on the I-430 northbound and southbound loops must yield to I-430 traffic during that same time frame, the release states.
