LR Christian RB pledges to Boise State

FOOTBALL

Little Rock Christian senior running back Damarea Crockett announced on Twitter on Monday night that he’s orally committing to Boise State.

Crockett, 5-11, 217 pounds, visited Boise State last weekend. He has received at least 15 scholarship offers, including ones from Arizona State, Vanderbilt and Colorado State.

“I’m truly blessed to say that I am committed to a school that truly wants me! Boise State University!” Crockett tweeted.

Last season, Crockett managed to rush for more than 1,000 yards despite missing the first half of the season with a high ankle sprain.

Boise State, coached by former Arkansas State coach Bryan Harsin, finished 12-2 last season and beat Arizona in the Fiesta Bowl. The Broncos finished 16th in the final Associated Press poll.

Oral commitments are nonbinding.
