LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has approved the dates for the 2015-16 dove hunting season in Arkansas.
Commissioners meeting in Little Rock on Thursday approved hunting dates of Sept. 5-Oct. 25 and Dec. 19-Jan. 7 for both Mourning dove and Eurasian collard dove.
The commissioners also heard a proposal for dates for the coming duck season. The proposed dates are Nov. 21-21; Dec. 10-23; and Dec. 26-Jan. 31. The proposed dates for the youth hunt are Feb. 6-7.
