Cobbs, 34, is accused of driving a woman to Americas Best Value Inn at 14325 Frontier Road, where the woman had arranged to have sex with an undercover officer, according to an arrest report.

The woman was not identified in the report. The sheriff's office said she had pills, a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine and a ledger in her purse when she was arrested.

Deputies reported finding another meth pipe in the center console of Cobbs' vehicle.

Cobbs was booked in the Pulaski County jail at 1:30 a.m. Thursday. He had been released by noon.

Promoting prostitution, a misdemeanor, is the latest of several charges the former Razorback has faced recently.

Cobbs was one of 33 people indicted on federal drug charges on October. Authorities said the group had been working together since June 2013 to illegally sell oxycodone pills.

Cobbs was arrested in September 2013 after Bryant police said he tried to obtain pills with a fraudulent prescription and fled from officers. He negotiated guilty pleas to charges of fleeing and drug fraud and was sentenced to one year of probation.

Cobbs, a Little Rock native, played for the Razorbacks from 1999 to 2003.

He played for the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos from 2004 to 2007 and followed his NFL career with a stint in an arena football league.
