A Traskwood man was arrested Friday on sexual-assault and child-exploitation charges, the Saline County sheriff’s office said Monday.
Jason Williams, a 37-year-old registered sex offender, was charged with second-degree sexual assault, computer exploitation of a child, sexual grooming of a child, possessing sexually explicit child matter and sexual solicitation/indecency of a child, authorities said.
Williams was previously convicted of internet stalking of a child, sheriff’s office officials said.
The victim in the investigation is a minor, and additional victims could be identified as the investigation continues, authorities said.
Williams was taken to the Saline County jail on Friday and was released on $50,000 bond on Monday, according to the jail’s inmate roster.
