Judge Alice Lightle ordered Marquese Deshaun Gay, 16, to be held at the Pulaski County jail on $250,000 bail.

Gay was charged as an adult in the slaying of Mark Mosley, 20, over the weekend. He surrendered to police with his attorney Monday morning, according to an arrest report.

Officers responded about 9 p.m. Saturday to 1624 S. Cedar St., north of W. 17th Street, and found Mosley lying on the ground with a gunshot wound.

Mosley of Little Rock was taken to UAMS Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

A court affidavit released Tuesday states that three witnesses identified Gay as the gunman.

They told police that Gay, also known as "Lill Ghumbie," pulled up in a burgundy vehicle with several other people and shot Mosley with a black handgun after an argument. The shooter purportedly fled on foot.

The witnesses, who were not named in the affidavit, told police that Gay and Mosley had been feuding in person and on Facebook.

The nature of the feud was unclear. Police spokesman Lt. Steve McClanahan said he had no further information on what led to the killing.

"I was just told it was an ongoing feud," he said.

Gay posted on his Facebook page several times this month about not being able to trust anyone. He and Mosley are listed as friends on the website, but no public exchanges between them were visible Tuesday.

The killing occurred less than 1 mile north of Gay's home at 2603 Abigail St.

Mosley's death is the 17th homicide of the year in Little Rock. It's the second homicide this year in which a minor has been charged.

Tyveen Jamal Davis, 16, was arrested in January and charged with first-degree murder after police said he shot two men, one fatally, in a robbery in the 10000 block of Baseline Road.
