Freud’s Last Session

SEARCY — Mark St. Germain’s 2009 play Freud’s Last Session will be performed at Center on the Square as a dessert-theater production. The show’s final performance will be at 1:30 p.m. today. Tickets are $18 for the dessert theater and $16 for show-only tickets.

Kids Summer Art Workshops

BATESVILLE — The Batesville Area Arts Council Gallery on Main will host art workshops for kids July 27-31. Classes for kindergartners through second-graders will meet from 9:30-11 a.m. each day, and classes for third- through sixth-graders will meet from noon to 1:30 p.m. The classes cost $50 per student. Veterans Day Program

SALEM — The Fulton County Fair Association, FNBC Community Bank, and the Salem and Mammoth Spring Veterans of Foreign Wars posts will honor all veterans as part of the Fulton County Fair, starting at 10 a.m. FNBC will provide lunch for veterans and their spouses. Davidsonville Park History Canoe Float

POCAHONTAS — Davidsonville Historic State Park staff will lead a history-themed float trip on the Black River from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Davidsonville’s founding. The canoe trip will start at Davidsonville Historic State Park and end at Powhatan Historic State Park. The day will conclude with a guided tour of Powhatan. Clothing Drive

CABOT—The Cabot Lions Club will hold a clothing drive to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Open Arms Shelter. Clothing, coats and shoes in infant through adult sizes, as well as belts of all sizes, may be donated from 8 a.m. to noon at the Cabot Farmers Market, in the parking lot of ReNew Community Church. Art Exhibition

BATESVILLE — The Batesville Area Arts Council will present the exhibit White Noise & Black Lines, featuring works by Holly Laws and David Bailin, through Saturday at the BAAC Gallery on Main. Advance Fair Tickets

SALEM — Advance tickets for the Fulton County Fair will be on sale through Monday. The $15 armband tickets are for all rides any night of the fair, which will be open from 6-10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Regular fair admission and games are not covered by the armbands. Armbands may be purchased at Shaver Plumbing and Hardware, FNBC Community Bank, the Bank of Salem, North Arkansas Electric Cooperative, Hill’s Auto Sales, and the Fulton County Fair Office at the fairgrounds. Second Time Around Bookstore: New Location

SEARCY — The Literacy Council of White County is now operating the Second Time Around Bookstore at its new location, 811 S. Main St., Suite D. Proceeds from the sale of donated books support the mission of helping adults in the community improve their literacy and English-language skills. The store and literacy office are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Horseshoe Bend Farmers Market

HORSESHOE BEND — The Horseshoe Bend Farmers Market takes place from 8-11 a.m. every Wednesday in the Faith Presbyterian Church parking lot. Yoga in the Gallery

BATESVILLE — The Batesville Area Arts Council offers Yoga in the Gallery classes at 8:45 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the BAAC Gallery on Main, 226 E. Radio/TV Auction

SEARCY — Harding’s radio station, KVHU 95.3, and TV station, Channel 16, will broadcast the 55th annual Radio/TV Auction on Aug. 17 and 18. The Searcy Lions Club sponsors the auction each year, and proceeds from the event support the club’s vision care program. Last year’s average donation was $60, and total donations exceeded $8,600. Charity Golf Tournament

CABOT — The Cabot Lions Club will host its annual Charity Golf Tournament at 1 p.m. Sept. 14. The four-person scramble will be held at Cabot’s Rolling Hills Country Club. Outdoor Survival Classes

BATESVILLE — Dan Nash, a professional mountain guide, will teach two survival-training classes Sept. 26 in Room 902 of the Nursing Allied Health Building at the University for Arkansas Community College at Batesville, along with field exercises outdoors. Basic Outdoor Survival will meet from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and participants need to bring a water bottle, two bandanas and a steel or magnesium fire striker. Intermediate Survival will meet from 1-5 p.m., and adults are asked to bring a knife and up to 3 feet of string. Each class costs $32 per adult.
