This edition, Dressing Room introduces a new feature, Fashion Symbol.

We all have those fashion symbols in our lives: people whose clothing fits them like a glove, even when it's pret-a-porter. People whose sense of style never seems to go wrong. People who look decked out even at 2 p.m. on a hot Saturday at a crowded discount mega-store.

For our first Fashion Symbol, we wanted to feature the person who gave us the idea, thanks to frequent Facebook posts of photos of her in drop-dead-fashionable attire.

• NAME: Sericia Cole

• I LIVE in Sherwood.

• I WORK as the executive director, Mosaic Templars Cultural Center.

• MY STYLE? Sophisticated, tomboy chic.

• PLACES I SHOP FOR CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES, ESPECIALLY BARGAINS: The Internet is a gold mine. Saks Off Fifth and Neiman Marcus Last Call are both great for bargains. Locally, besides Dillard's, I enjoy shopping at The Look in Sherwood and Luv and Fringe Clothing in the River Market.

• FAVORITE COMPLIMENTS: My favorites are on days when I feel like I've just thrown an outfit together. Maybe the person is just being kind, but those are the best.

• MOST TREASURED ITEM IN MY WARDROBE: For a while now I've had this off-white leather trench coat that I don't see myself parting with anytime soon.

• THE ARTICLE OF CLOTHING I HAVE THE MOST OF: My family will mock me if I don't say shoes.

• I WOULD NEVER WEAR white pantyhose. Kitten heels are a close second.

• MY STRICT FASHION RULE is I do believe that whatever you wear should fit properly. A true fashionista has a good alterations person or two on standby.
