A man mowing a field behind his house found a decomposing body in the grass Sunday, authorities said.

The 67-year-old resident said he was cutting the grass at his home at 10700 Peters Road outside Cabot on Sunday morning when "he discovered a deceased male subject lying in the middle of the field."

The body was sent to the state Crime Laboratory to determine the identity and cause of death.

The body was found near an area where missing person Ryan Clemmons' truck was found July 16. Clemmons was last seen July 11 leaving a home in Cabot.

Sheriff's office Capt. Carl Minden said investigators were aware of Clemmons' being missing in the area, adding that it was "something we're looking into."

The body had not been identified by mid-morning, Minden noted.
