Starling hits for Nats' 1st cycle

During the Northwest Arkansas Naturals' 10-4 victory over the Arkansas Travelers at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock on Tuesday night, Naturals right fielder Bubba Starling led off the seventh inning with a triple into the left field corner.

After doing so, some of his Northwest Arkansas Naturals teammates reminded Starling what he was on the brink of accomplishing.

After he had hit a home run in the third and a double in the fifth, Starling was a single away from hitting for the cycle.

Starling completed the cycle in the ninth inning, when he blooped a single into shallow left field to complete the Naturals' first-ever cycle.

"Some of the guys were reminding me in the dugout," said Starling, who completed his first cycle. "That's awesome. I just want to come out and hit the ball hard."

Starling went 4 for 5 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. He hit a three-run home run off Travs starter Michael Brady in the third inning, doubled and scored in the fifth, then tripled and scored in the seventh.

The Naturals had 15 hits in Brady's worst start of the season as the Travs' five-game winning streak came to an end.

Brady (5-5) allowed 8 runs on 11 hits in 5 innings pitched.
