AG schedules 8 mobile-office sites

The Arkansas attorney general's office has scheduled eight "mobile office" sites for the first half of August.

The mobile offices are designed to help Arkansans deal with consumer-related issues and file complaints against scam artists, according to a news release from the attorney general's office. Also, staff members at the mobile offices will be available to answer people's questions and explain other services.

Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, who took office in January, created the mobile-office initiative to make some of her office's services more accessible to people who live outside Little Rock.

The hours, dates and locations of the mobile offices are:

• El Dorado: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Champagnolle Landing Senior Center, 910 Champagnolle Road

• Camden: 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Southwest Arkansas Development Council Office, 465 Columbia Ave.

• Harrison: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Aug. 6, Boone County Senior Activity and Wellness Center, 1516 Rock Springs Road

• Marshall: 2-4 p.m. Aug. 6, Marshall City Hall, 102 College St.

• Walnut Ridge: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Aug. 11, Walnut Ridge City Hall, 300 W. Main St.

• Newport: 2-4 p.m. Aug. 11, Newport City Hall, 615 3rd St.

• Melbourne: 10:30 a.m.--12:30 p.m. Aug. 13, Melbourne Community Building, 63 Municipal Drive

• Mountain View: 2-4 p.m. Aug. 13, Mountain View Senior Center, 210 School Ave.
