MovieStyle: Your mission, if you choose to accept it ...

These are the dog days of summer, and it's OK to seek out a dim cavernous movie theater for simple relief.

So why not go see Tom Cruise hanging off the side of a plane? Or the sequel to a beloved ’80s road movie (that’s probably not as good as you remember.) Or a arthouse movie shot mostly in the wide white tundra of Canada? Take relief where you can find it, it's August in Arkansas.

But our mission is to bring you the scoop on the movies. OK, we've got Piers Marchant on Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation, Dan Lybarger on Vacation and Philip Martin on Aloft, the movies described above.

Martin also reviews the family dramedy Infinitely Polar Bear, which features what some are calling an Oscar-worthy performance by the always cool Mark Ruffalo. And Karen Martin has her weekly look at what's new in home video.

All in this Friday's MovieStyle.
