FAYETTEVILLE -- A West Fork woman pleaded guilty Wednesday in Washington County Circuit Court to an aggravated animal-cruelty charge related to the April drowning of several puppies.
Theresa Wolf, 58, was sentenced to two years of probation, fined $1,000 and ordered to pay fines and costs.
According to the Washington County sheriff's office, Wolf told an animal shelter employee she drowned seven newborn puppies, gave one away and wanted to give the other two to the shelter.
