Shots fired at Morgan convenience store

An altercation at a Morgan convenience store led to shots being fired Thursday evening, according to a spokesman for the Pulaski County sheriff's office.

No one was hit in the shooting about 7:49 p.m. at the Phillips 66 at 18820 MacArthur Drive, the corner of MacArthur Drive and East Ashley Road, Capt. Carl Minden said. A pickup had two tires flattened.

When deputies arrived, four men who were there said they had been in a physical fight with people on motorcycles "and that one or more of them fired shots from a handgun," according to a Pulaski County sheriff's office report.

As of 9 p.m., deputies had detained five to 10 men at the store and at Ton's Place, a nearby bar, Minden said. "All the subjects involved were interviewed and due to the differing accounts the on call prosecutor was contacted," he added.

No arrests had been made as of Friday morning.
