Sheriff's spokesman Capt. Carl Minden said shortly before 8 p.m. an argument began between a group of Hispanic men and several motorcyclists at a bar called Tons, 18814 Arkansas 365, and then spilled over to a nearby Phillips 66 gas station, where it turned violent. Guns were drawn and shots fired.

A black GMC Sierra pickup with Oklahoma license plates received most of the shots and had at least two flat tires. Several Hispanic men sat on the concrete next to it. The pumps at the gas station were roped off with crime scene tape.

"At this point we're very fortunate that nobody was hurt," Minden said. "We're looking at maybe some people with some bumps and bruises. Right now it's just the car that took the brunt and we're fortunate that nobody was struck."

Minden said Thursday night it was unclear whether the shooting was gang-related.

Initially law enforcement officers from the Arkansas State Police also responded to the scene, along with sheriff's deputies and the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department. Minden said other departments were helping to find people involved in the shooting.

Minden said five to 10 people had been detained for questioning, but no arrests had been made Thursday night.
