A 14-year-old boy was taken to a Searcy hospital Thursday after accidentally shooting himself in the face, according to the White County sheriff's office.
In a news release, Deputy Heather Zomant said deputies went to North Vinity Road in Searcy about 11:25 a.m. Thursday and found the boy. He was transported to the Unity Health Medical Center.
Zomant said Thursday afternoon the condition of the boy was unknown.
