Linda Hunt, 55, of Blytheville pleaded guilty Wednesday to Medicaid fraud, a Class C felony, according to a news release from Rutledge's office.

Lucy Blackmon, 34, of Pine Bluff pleaded guilty Tuesday to Medicaid fraud, a Class A misdemeanor, the release said.

Medicaid fraud can be a misdemeanor or one of several levels of felony, depending on the amount of the fraud.

Hunt billed the Arkansas Medicaid Program for services she did not provide, the attorney general's release said.

Court records in the case indicate that Hunt, a personal care aide, submitted fraudulent time sheets in excess of $200 but less than $2,500, the Class C felony limits.

She was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay $5,318.25 in restitution and $918.75 in fines. She paid $5,000 of the restitution to the Arkansas Medicaid Trust Fund at the time of sentencing, according to the release.

Blackmon was accused of billing the Arkansas Medicaid program for home health services while a patient was in the hospital. She was ordered to pay restitution of $233.28 and fines totaling $1,199.84, according to the news release.

The restitution amount was paid at the time of sentencing, court records show.

Both women also were placed on probation, Rutledge said.
