Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Tuesday formally declared disasters in four more counties affected by heavy rain and floods.
Hutchinson said in a statement that Conway, Jefferson, Perry and Sebastian counties are now among 31 across the state to receive the declaration in the last month for weather-related issues.
Multiple rounds of heavy rain last month swelled rivers and streams across Arkansas with some still rising this week. Flood warnings remained in effect for various parts of the state Tuesday and several areas were grappling with rivers at major flood stages.
