Identity of Conway County stabbing victim released

Authorities on Tuesday released the identity of a man who deputies say was stabbed to death in Conway County last Thursday.

Dalton Hampton, 18, of Center Ridge, died after being stabbed on Arkansas 92 in the Center Ridge community, Conway County sheriff's office spokesman Josh Baker said in a news release.

Deputies were notified about 9:13 p.m. last Thursday that a possible stabbing had occurred. Authorities rendered aid to Hampton, who was later pronounced dead by Conway County Coroner Jason McCoy, the release states.

By Friday, deputies arrested Dyllon Kyle, 18, of Plumerville and Derick Wilbanks, 22, of Plumerville in connection with the stabbing, Baker said. Kyle has been charged with second-degree murder and Wilbanks was charged with hindering apprehension, the release states.

Kyle is being held at the Conway County jail in lieu of $500,000 bond and Wilbanks is being held there in lieu of $100,000 bond, Baker said.
