A Pine Bluff woman has won $1 million in a second-chance lottery drawing, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery said Tuesday.

Cynthia Johnson bought a non-winning instant ticket at the Big Red Valero at 2317 W. 28th Ave. in Pine Bluff, lottery officials said. Johnson entered the ticket in the Play It Again second-chance drawing and came out $1 million richer, the lottery said.

Johnson plans to pay off some bills and save the rest, she told lottery officials.

Meanwhile, a Parkin man has won $100,000 on a 25X The Money ticket bought for $5, lottery officials said.

Termaine Slaughter bought the winning ticket at Sam’s Mini Mart on U.S. 49 in Marmaduke, the lottery said. Slaughter told lottery officials he plans to put the prize money “into building a new home or two.”
