The pretrial hearing for Kevin Duck -- charged in the 2011 death of his girlfriend, Dawna Natzke, a Hot Springs Village police dispatcher -- had been set for June 1.

Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Judge John Homer Wright approved a request from Duck's attorneys, T. Clay Janske and Brian Johnson, to postpone the hearing and trial until they gain approval from the Arkansas Public Defenders Commission for more money to support Duck's defense.

The hearing is now set for 8:15 a.m. Nov. 16, with the trial Nov. 17-20.

Natzke, 46, was with Duck the last time she was seen alive at a Dec. 21, 2011, Christmas party in Hot Springs Village. Her body was found 10 days after she disappeared. An autopsy showed that she died from drowning and blunt-force trauma.
