It has been 179 years since Arkansas became a state and the Old State House Museum and Historic Arkansas Museum in downtown Little Rock are joining forces to celebrate with "The Quest for Statehood: From the Delta to the Hills," 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. For the season's first "Celebrate the Word" weekend at Magic Springs, U.S. 70 East (East Grand Avenue), Hot Springs, Christian rock band Family Force 5 will perform at 8 p.m. Friday and Grammy Award-winning Christian hip-hop artist Lecrae at 8 p.m. Saturday at the park's Timberwood Amphitheater. The Butler Center Galleries, 401 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock, will shine a spotlight on the works of talented young Arkansans with The State Youth Art Show 2015, presented by Arkansas Art Educators.
