Blytheville police investigate 2 killings, other shootings

BLYTHEVILLE — Blytheville police are investigating two recent killings in the city, along with four other shootings during the past week.

Two men died after shootings 11 hours apart on Monday, and officers were trying to determine whether the incidents were related. After a shooting about 10 a.m. Monday, officers responded but found only the victim, who died later at the Great River Medical Center.

Monday night, a man was shot in Williams Park and died at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Police said they believe there were several witnesses.

Another man was shot Tuesday night, and three other shootings left four people injured last Thursday and Friday.

Blythevill Police Department Capt. Scott Adams said surviving victims aren't talking and the two killed had died before police could obtain information from them.
