American Idol-winning country singer Scotty McCreery will headline a show Saturday in the Timberwood Amphitheater at Magic Springs, U.S. 70 East (East Grand Avenue), Hot Springs. Nashville-based singer Cody Purvis opens the show at 7 p.m.; McCreery takes the stage at 8. 2 Festivals

3 Fashion

Fashionistas can indulge in all things beauty-related at the Fashion Arena Expo, 2-8 p.m. Saturday at the Statehouse Convention Center, Markham and Main streets, Little Rock. The event includes The Fashion Opera's Fashion Showcase, art gallery, marketplace and chances to watch photo shoots and discuss and learn about beauty tips and products. 4 Flying

Look up for acrobatics and formation flying as the North Little Rock Municipal Airport, 8200 Remount Road, hosts the North Little Rock Air Show, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. 5 Fabric and furniture

Talented crafters and designers will show off their goods at An Affair of the Heart, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday at the Conway Expo Center, 2505 E. Oak St., Conway. 6 Fireworks

It's a day of sheep riding, bronco and bull riding, team roping and barrel racing as the Atkins Rodeo Association and the River Valley Circle of Friends host the 25th annual Arkansas Children's Hospital Rodeo and Fireworks Show, 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Atkins Riding Club Arena, Atkins. 7 Fire up

Blues-roots rock singer-songwriter Paul Thorn will be the headliner for the first of three Murphy USA Summer Concert Series concerts, 7 p.m. Saturday on Union Square, 101 N. Washington St., El Dorado. Presenters are Main Street El Dorado and radio station KIXB-FM, 103.3 ("KIX 103"). Admission is free. • Before the concert, Main Street El Dorado brings back its Showdown at Sunset, 6 p.m. on the Union County Courthouse steps. It's a re-enactment of a 1902 broad-daylight gun battle between city Marshal Guy Tucker (grandfather of former Gov. Jim Guy Tucker) and his bitter rivals, the Parnell Brothers. Admission is free.

8 Finale

Singers Khristian Dentley, a member of the Grammy-winning a cappella group Take 6; Chantae Cann; and Djay Heard will be part of the band performing R&B, soul, jazz, blues and pop for a Black Music Month Celebration concert, 8 p.m. today at Ron Robinson Theater, 100 River Market Ave., Little Rock. 9 Fourth Wall

Contemporary chamber group the Fourth Wall Ensemble -- Hilary Abigana, flute; Greg Jukes, percussion; and C. Neil Parsons, trombone -- will perform at 7:30 p.m. today in the Cabe Festival Theatre, Wildwood Park for the Arts, 20919 Denny Road, Little Rock. It's part of a recital series being put on by the Wildwood Academy of Music & the Arts. The program: their jointly composed Fruit Flies Like a Banana; L'Histoire du Soldat Jouet, subtitled "A Ballet for solo flute," by Brett Abigana, with choreography by Parsons; and Histoire du Tango by Astor Piazzolla.
