A 38-year-old Trumann man died Thursday in a head-on collision in Poinsett County.
Arkansas State Police say Michael Clanton was driving a 2004 Oldsmobile south on Arkansas 163 south of Arkansas 158 shortly after 8:30 p.m. when the vehicle crossed into a northbound lane in a curve.
According to a report, a northbound 2008 Chevrolet swerved to miss the Oldsmobile but ended up colliding with it head-on.
Clanton suffered fatal injuries. The other driver, whose name was not released, was not listed as injured in the report.
Conditions at the time were described in the report as "good" and dry.
The death was the 232nd in a traffic accident in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
