Work in the vicinity of the Interstate 40/Interstate 430 interchange in North Little Rock will require overnight lane closures on I-40 beginning Monday night, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said.
Erecting structural steel for the Norman Road and Marche Road bridges and placing concrete on the bridge deck leading from I-430 north to I-40 west will require alternating closures of the eastbound and westbound lanes on I-40 between the east side of the interchange and west to Norman Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily through Wednesday morning.
The work will include short, intermittent stoppages of traffic in both directions while work is performed over the travel lanes, the department said.
The work is part of a $38.4 million project to widen 5.1 miles of I-40 from the interchange to Arkansas 365.
