Maggie McKnight Luter Floyd became the bride of Stephen Bolton Kirchner at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 20, in St. Philip's Episcopal Church, Jackson, Miss. The Rev. Kyle Seage officiated, assisted by the Rev. John Kellogg.

The bride is the daughter of Nell Luter Floyd and the late Tom Joe Floyd of Ridgeland, Miss. Her grandparents are the late Mada and Tom Floyd of Forrest City and the late Nell and Jesse Crawford Luter Jr. of Jackson.

The groom is the son of Malinda and Larry Kirchner, 14 Broadview Drive. He is the grandson of Barbara and the late Elliott Rutledge Jr. of Fayetteville and Patricia and Joseph Kirchner of Little Rock.

A large arrangement of white and peach roses, hydrangeas and spray roses decorated the altar. Readers were Virginia Simmons and Jessica Thein, cousins of the groom. Music was by organist David O'Steen, St. Philip's Parish Choir and soloist Tessika McClendon.

The bride walked down the aisle with her mother. She wore an ivory gown of re-embroidered floral lace over charmeuse. In remembrance of her father, the bride included a heart-shaped piece of a handkerchief belonging to her father sewn into the gown near her heart. She carried a bouquet of roses, succulents, spray roses and dusty miller.

Maid of honor was Lillie Mc­Knight Luter Floyd of Jackson, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mary Gorham of Gainesville, Fla.; Madeleine Groth and Laura Sorey, both of New Orleans; Margaret Tumminellio of Houston; and Nina Anand of Washington. They wore knee-length chiffon dresses in the style of their choice and carried bouquets of roses, ranunculus, dusty miller and seeded eucalyptus.

John Rutledge Kirchner of Fayetteville served as his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Ford and Matthew Devlin, both of Little Rock; Zachary Davis of Washington; Edward Townsend of Jackson; and Ian McDougall of Columbus, Miss.

A reception at the Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson followed the ceremony. Guest tables held mercury glass compotes with arrangements of roses, succulents, dusty miller and seeded eucalyptus. Music was by That Arkansas Weather.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in English from Millsaps College in Jackson and is a sixth-grade writing teacher at eStem Middle School.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in environmental studies from Millsaps College and is completing graduate degrees in public service and public health from the Clinton School of Public Service and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Public Health.

The couple will reside in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Asheville, N.C.
