Motorcyclist killed in U.S. 67 wreck

A 32-year-old Hensley man was killed Sunday evening after his motorcycle ran off U.S. 67 in White County and hit retaining cables, authorities said.

It happened shortly after 6 p.m. at the 43 mile marker in Searcy.

According to an Arkansas State Police report, Christopher Lee Webb was riding a 2013 Suzuki motorcycle south on the highway when the vehicle ran off the east side of the road in a right-hand curve.

Police say the Suzuki then hit the retaining cables, throwing Webb from the motorcycle. He was taken to White County Medical Center, where he died.

Conditions at the time were reported to be clear and dry.

The death was the 237th in a traffic crash in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
