Blytheville man arrested in fatal shooting

BLYTHEVILLE — Northeast Arkansas police say they have arrested a 52-year-old Blytheville man in another man's shooting death.

Capt. Scott Adams of the Blytheville Police Department said the man has been arrested in the Saturday death of Rodney Lutes.

Adam said officers responding to a report of a shooting arrived to find Lutes unconscious and suffering a gunshot wound inside a home. Emergency medical personnel attempted to revive Lutes, who was pronounced dead at the scene by a coroner.

The Blytheville Courier News reported that the body will be sent to the Arkansas medical examiner's office for an official cause of death.
