Chancellor sought for Arkansas State University Mid-South

WEST MEMPHIS — Arkansas State University and Mid-South Community College have started the search for a chancellor when the two merge later this year.

The community college in West Memphis will become Arkansas State University Mid-South on July 1, pending approval by the Higher Learning Commission. ASU and Mid-South Community College officials approved the merger in January.

The chancellor will succeed MSCC President Glen Fenter, who will become president emeritus of ASU-Mid-South on July 1 and take over as CEO of the Greater Memphis Alliance for a Competitive Workforce.

ASU System President Charles Welch will lead the search committee and said applications for chancellor will be reviewed starting April 15 and will continue until the post is filled.
