On work release, prisoner skips out

A prisoner on work-release escaped from a Texarkana facility Monday night, according to the Arkansas Department of Correction.

Cleophus Martin, 44, was convicted of aggravated robbery and theft of property in 2010, according to court records. He was under the supervision of the Texarkana Regional Correction Center.

Martin purportedly stole a rental car from Cattleman's Steak House, 4018 N. Stateline Ave., and fled from a work-release facility Monday, according to local media reports.

According to the Correction Deportment, Martin is a 5-foot-8, 142-pound black man. His last known address is 2110 W. Lane in Jacksonville.
