Lane closures set on I-630

Lane closures are planned in the coming days on Interstate 630 in Little Rock, but planned work on the Interstate 40/Interstate 430 interchange in North Little Rock has been postponed, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said Tuesday.

On I-630, crews will close the westbound, outside lane between the Baptist Health exit and I-430 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. A sign will be installed during the closure.

Overnight weekend lane closures, meanwhile, had been planned at the I-40/I-430 interchange to run from Friday through Monday but have been postponed because of a wintry weather forecast, the department said.

Crews at a later date will be placing concrete pavement and a temporary barrier wall as part of an ongoing project to widen I-40 between North Little Rock and Conway. That widening project is scheduled to be completed next year.
