MORRILTON — The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center will present Website in a Day from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce. Participants in this hands-on workshop will be taken step by step through creating a free account and building an attractive, functional, five-page website. Rummage-Bake Sale

GREERS FERRY — A rummage-bake sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at West Side First Baptist Church, 7025 Greers Ferry Road (Arkansas 92). A variety of baked goods and gently used articles and furniture will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the church’s mission trip to Africa.

Tri Sigma Arkansas State Day

CONWAY — Georgeanna Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a former contestant on Season 4 of ABC’s Extreme Weight Loss, will be the featured speaker for the Tri Sigma Arkansas State Day on Saturday at the University of Central Arkansas. Johnson, who lost 165 pounds, will speak at 11:15 a.m. in the McCastlain Hall Ballroom. Pancake breakfast

CONWAY — Celebrate Recovery will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 7-11 a.m. at The Ministry Center, 766 Harkrider St. The suggested donation is $5. Holocaust speaker

MORRILTON — The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton and the University of Central Arkansas in Conway have announced that Gideon Frieder, a Holocaust survivor and a volunteer speaker with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C., will make three appearances in Morrilton and Conway. Frieder will speak at 7 p.m. Monday at the Farris Center at the University of Central Arkansas; at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday in H.B. White Auditorium at Morrilton High School; and at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Fine Arts Auditorium at UACCM. The free events are open to the public. Retired Teachers Association Meeting

HEBER SPRINGS — The Cleburne County Retired Teachers Association will meet at noon at the Rustic Inn. Danny Knight, a trustee of the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System Board, will speak about the 2015 legislative session and bills that pertain to the Teacher Retirement System. Friends of Thomas Team Meeting

CONWAY — Friends of Thomas Team members gather from 10 a.m. to noon the fourth Saturday of the month at the Faulkner County Library. Media Archaeology Speaker

CONWAY — The Hendrix College Department of Art will host media archaeologist, author and exhibition curator Erkki Huhtamo at 5 p.m. March 12 in Art Building A 110 on Front Street. He will present a lecture, Cranking Into the Future: Art and the Media-Archaeological Imagination. Huhtamo is a media history and theory professor at the University of California Los Angeles and is known internationally as a pioneer of media archaeology. The free lecture is open to the public. Classical Guitar Concert

CONWAY — Classical guitarist Peter Fletcher will perform at 7 p.m. March 12 at the Faulkner County Library. Fletcher has performed at Carnegie Hall and other locations in New York, Chicago and Atlanta, as well as throughout the country. He has made many radio and television appearances and was the featured artist on the national website Guitar International. Fletcher’s recordings have received critical acclaim, and his current release is Peter Fletcher Plays Baroque Music for Guitar on the Towerhill Recordings label.
