Authorities are searching for a man who gave two beers back to a man he robbed at a Pine Bluff gas station last month, police say.
Arlee Walker, 54, of Pine Bluff, told officers he was purchasing beers when he a stranger "spoke to each other like they were friends" inside the Speedway Convenience Store at 2501 S. Cherry St. about 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 18, according to a Pine Bluff Police Department report.
The man approached Walker's vehicle in the parking lot and asked for a cigarette and one of the beers, and Walker told him it wasn't his beer to give away, the report states.
Walker said the man walked over to a silver passenger car with Arkansas license plate 447 SNA, then walked back over to Walker, pointed a black handgun at him and demanded his beer and for Walker to empty his pockets, according to the report.
Walker gave the man $45 in cash and the beers, and said the man went back to the silver vehicle, yelled "Man, I can't do you like this," and came back and gave Walker two of the beers back before leaving again.
The robber is described as a black man and was wearing a purple and white toboggan, gray jacket and blue jeans during the robbery.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact police at (870) 543-5100 or (870) 730-2090.
